NGC adds pair in development and production

Woodard and Mohs to broaden departments

National Geographic Channel has expanded its senior programming team by hiring Kim Woodard and Kevin Mohs as vice presidents of development and production.

The pair will join NGC global development veep Charlie Parsons and SVP of global development and productions Bridget Hunnicutt in overseeing specials and series, reporting to interim senior veep of content Michael Cascio.

Woodard has been senior exec producer and exec in charge of National Geographic Television’s New York production office since 2006, supervising such programs as “Border Wars,” “Alaska Wing Men” and “Inside Guantanamo.”

Mohs has been Discovery Channel production VP since 2009 and has past experience as an exec producer on specials and series. Mohs spent 11 years at Animal Planet, culminating in a production VP position in which he oversaw series including “Whale Wars.”
