‘Nail Files’ makes strong debut

Reality series debuts on TV Guide Network

TV Guide Network viewers got their nails done in record numbers Tuesday night as the cabler drew a record aud of 252,000 for the debut of reality skein “Nail Files.”

Total was the highest original series premiere in the history of the net, After the 10 p.m. debut, cabler aired another new episode and then repeated them throughout the night, eventually drawing 1.1 million total viewers.

Skein, which follows Katie Cazorla and her Sherman Oaks salon the Painted Nail, comes from “Jersey Shore” exec producer SallyAnn Salsano and her 495 Prods.

As expected, “Nail Files” drew mostly femmes in the 18-34 and 18-49 demos.

“The ratings speak to our ability to engage younger viewers with original content as we continue to establish ourselves as an entertainment programming destination,” said Diane Robina, TV Guide Network’s exec VP of programming and marketing.
