Guess you can’t keep a good Snooki down.
Add this, along with all those birds dying, to signs that the apocalypse is nigh: The season three bow of MTV’s monster reality hit “Jersey Shore” on Thursday night scored 8.5 million viewers, making it the highest-rated series telecast in MTV history.
According to MTV, “Jersey Shore’s” season three bow also averaged 6.5 million 12-34 viewers — more than any broadcast or cable television show this broadcast season. (That’s sure to change once “American Idol” returns.)
“Jersey Shore’s” premiere is also up 63% versus the show’s season two premiere premiere (8.3 vs. 5.1).
All together now: MTV, I think you’ve got a Ratings Situation on your hands.
