Awards to air June 22 on ReelzChannel

“Modern Family” led all shows with six nominations for the inaugural Critics’ Choice Television Awards, set to air June 22 on ReelzChannel.

ABC was tops among broadcasters with 16 noms while AMC and FX led the cablers with nine apiece.

“Mad Men” was second behind “Modern Family” with five noms. Four series tied for third place with four noms apiece: “30 Rock,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Justified” and “The Good Wife.”

AMC had three shows among the 10 nominated for top drama series: “Mad Men” and freshmen skeins “The Killing” and “The Walking Dead.” HBO had a pair: “Boardwalk Empire” and newbie “Game of Thrones.”

Other top drama series noms were “Dexter” (Showtime), “Friday Night Lights” (DirecTV/NBC), “Fringe” (Fox), “The Good Wife” (CBS) and “Justified” (FX).

In the comedy series category, NBC earned four of the 10 slots: “Community,” “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation” and “30 Rock.” FX drew two noms with animated laffer “Archer” and “Louie,” while ABC had “The Middle” and “Modern Family.”

The remaining comedy noms were filled by CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” and Fox’s “Glee,” the only hourlong show to be recognized.

Show will be taped June 20 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Nominees were selected by the newly formed Broadcast Television Journalists Assn., a partner org to the Broadcast Film Critics Assn.
