Minnie Driver set for CBS drama ‘Hail Mary’

Pilot hails from Joel Silver and Warner Bros. TV

Minnie Driver has signed on to the CBS drama pilot “Hail Mary,” a buddy P.I. drama set in Atlanta.

Project hails from Joel Silver and Warner Bros. TV. Feature scribe Jeff Wadlow (“Never Back Down”) penned the pilot and will exec produce with Silver and Ilene Chaiken (“The L Word”). Brad Silberling is on board to direct.

“Hail Mary” revolves around a suburban single mom who teams with a streetwise hustler to solve crimes.

Before settling on the CBS drama, Driver had been circling the NBC comedy pilot “Free Agents.”

The British thesp previously starred in the FX drama series “The Riches” in the 2007-08 season.
