The final two episodes of HBO’s “Mildred Pierce” drew 964,000 viewers Sunday, about 26% less than who tuned in opening night.
Miniseries, which stars Kate Winslet as a Los Angeles mom trying to make it through the Great Depression while balancing her personal and professional lives, opened to 1.3 million viewers for the March 27 premiere. For the first three episode, “Mildred Pierce” has an average gross aud of 4.1 million viewers when including multiple telecasts, DVR usage and HBO on Demand. Based on the 1941 James N. Cain novel, “Mildred Pierce” was directed by Todd Haynes. He exec produced with Christine Vachon, Pamela Koffler and John Wells.
