Eye and CBS TV Studios to develop pilot prospects for the comedian

Martin Lawrence is in the development swim at CBS this pilot season.

The Eye and CBS TV Studios have closed a talent deal with Lawrence that calls for the net and studio to develop a show for the comic.

Lawrence hasn’t done a TV series since his Fox laffer “Martin” ended its five-year run in 1997. His recent pic credits include “Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son,” “Death at a Funeral” and “College Road Trip.”

He’s repped by UTA and the Collective.
