Sundance Channel has tabbed Marco Bresaz as VP of original programming and development.
Bresaz arrives at the Rainbow Media cabler from TV Land, where he held the same title. There he helped push the net into the scripted arena, including the launch of sitcom “Hot in Cleveland.”
Said senior VP Michael Klein, to whom Bresaz will report: “His experience will be a huge asset to Sundance Channel as we expand our original programming slate this year.”
Sundance recently acquired the 2005 HBO series “The Comeback,” which starred Lisa Kudrow as a former sitcom star trying to make her way back in show business, and without much luck.
Paired with “The Comeback” is “Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys,” a reality skein that examines relationships between women and their gay best friends.
