Mapother joins Lifetime’s ‘Drew Peterson’

Actor to play brother of Rob Lowe's title character

William Mapother has been cast in Lifetime telepic “The Drew Peterson Story,” starring Rob Lowe and Kaley Cuoco.

Mapother (“Lost”) will play the stepbrother of the title character, played by Lowe. Cuoco will play Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy, whose mysterious disappearance triggers the plot of the film.

Exec producer Judith Verno and writer Teena Booth, who teamed on Lifetime’s “Justice for Natalee Holloway” (which aired in May), have reunited for “Peterson.” The film is based on nonfiction book “Fatal Vows: The Tragic Wives of Drew Peterson,” by Joseph Hosey.

Mapother is next scheduled to appear in Fox Searchlight’s “Another Earth,” opening July 22.
