Magical Elves has no plans to rest on its laurels following its 10th anniversary. For starters, they are developing a new show for Lifetime that is still under wraps. But here is a partial list of what else the company has on tap in the coming months:
“Fashion Star” This new primetime reality series is a search for the next big brand in fashion. It will give 14 unknown designers the chance to win a multimillion-dollar prize to launch their lines in three of America’s largest retailers. The show will kick off with a fashion show featuring musical performances, dancers and models in front of a live studio audience. Every fashion show will be built around a weekly challenge that is designed to further develop and expand the designer’s brand. Buyers from each of the three retailers will serve as the judges, making on-the-spot decisions as they bid against each other, dipping into their own wallets to purchase the work of these up-and-coming designers each week. Viewers at home will be able to buy the winning design from fashion categories that will run the gamut from suits and dresses to lingerie, denim, bathing suits, accessories and more.
Host: Elle Macpherson
Mentors: Jessica Simpson and John Varvatos
“Around the World in 80 Plates”(working title)
This cooking competition takes its contestants around the globe to test their skills in some of the world’s greatest — and most demanding — restaurants. In every episode, two teams are sent to a different country and immerse themselves in the food culture, navigating a gantlet of culinary tests along with local cultures, customs and cuisines. They take over real restaurants and food service environments and, of course, there’s a grand prize at the end.
