Hallmark Movie Channel greenlights two pics
Luke Perry is staying at Hallmark Movie Channel.
At the Television Critics Tour on Wednesday, Hallmark Channel also announced that season two of original series “Martha Bakes” will preem Sept. 26.
The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star will reprise his role as a crusading judge in the Old West for two more “Goodnight for Justice” telepics. The first “Goodnight” movie, which ran in January, was the highest-rated film in the net’s history.
Part of the cabler’s home block, 13-episode half-hour reality series stars Martha Stewart whipping up desserts and baked goods.
Also making its debut that same day is “Emeril’s Table,” with chef Emeril Lagasse. Half-hour skein will have Lagasse, who was a longtime staple on Food Network and once had a primetime sitcom on NBC, offering cooking lessons to viewers at home as well as a studio audience.
Net has added Ewan McGregor as presenter — along with animal activist Betty White — at the Nov. 11 inaugural Hero Dog Awards. Kristin Chenoweth, Jillian Michaels and Whoopi Goldberg are judges.
