MOSCOW — Anton Kudryashov, the head of Russia’s top-rated commercial television network CTC Media, has left the company after three years in a management reshuffle.
Kudryashov’s departure was by “mutual agreement,” CTC said, but no further reason was given. Hans-Holger Albrecht, CTC board co-chair, said the net was replacing him as it “moves forward into the next phase of its development.”
Kudryashov, who has steered the holding through choppy economic waters during his time at the top, will be replaced as CEO by the company’s chief financial officer Boris Podolsky, until a permanent replacement is found.
In other changes, veteran European television executive Angelo Codignoni, who was head of Eurosport between 1996 and 2006, was elected co-chair of the board of directors, and banker Dmitry Lebedev takes the board seat occupied for eight years by fellow banker Peter Aven.
