Cinema Society screens new Showtime drama

The Cinema Society screening of Showtime’s new drama “Homeland” filled the backyard of Jerry and Judy Della Femina’s East Hampton estate Saturday night.

While guests dined heartily on a full-course meal by a moonlit pool, Matt Blank quipped, “I can tell you that ‘Homeland’ is not about the U.S. having its rating downgraded.” The Showtime CEO went on to warn the host family to “count your silverware before everyone leaves.”

The political thriller toplined by Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, is getting a big push from the pay cabler, as evidenced by the turnout of L.A.-based execs for the screening from Showtime and production company 20th Century Fox TV.
