Exec joins from Modern Times Group

LONDON — Shine has appointed Camilla Hammer CEO of its sales and distribution arm, Shine Intl.

She joins from pan-European broadcaster Modern Times Group, where she is senior VP acquisitions.

The appointment at the News Corp.-owned shingle, run by Elisabeth Murdoch, follows Shine Intl.’s recent relocation from L.A. to London.

Hammer will head a team of 42 and be responsible for exploiting worldwide intellectual property rights from Shine and third-party producers. She will report to Shine prexy, Alex Mahon, and start her new role early next year.

Mahon said: “Camilla’s experience is extensive and spans many territories. She will bring to the role knowledge and multiple perspectives from all aspects of content acquisition and distribution, skills which will enable her to both complement and lead the Shine Intl. team.”
