Thesp-scribe to share U.S. biz experience
LONDON — British comic actor and writer Ricky Gervais will speak about cracking the U.S. market at the Edinburgh Television Festival.
The comic will be quizzed on his experiences Stateside, and talk about his BSkyB show, “An Idiot Abroad.”
Another new booking is Chloe Sladden, director of content and programming at Twitter, who will give the Futureview address.
Gervais and Sladden are the latest additions to a lineup that includes Google topper Eric Schmidt and Brian Cox, the broadcaster, physicist and some-time rock star hailed as the new David Attenborough. The talking shop takes place Aug. 27-29.
