Cabler to bring back 'Justified' Jan. 17
FX has set up its midseason schedule for the return of “Justified” and “Archer,” as well as for freshman series “Unsupervised.”
“Justified,” starring Timothy Olyphant as a U.S. marshal based in Kentucky, will begin its third season Jan. 17. Series, created by Graham Yost, has been a hit for the cabler and is produced by Sony Pictures Television and FX Prods.
On the animated front, FX is bringing back “Archer” on Jan. 19. Series returned in September for a three-part special that drew 1.5 million viewers, a 12% uptick compared to season two. Adam Reed and Matt Thompson exec produce.
New from FX is another toon, “Unscripted,” set to follow “Archer” at 10:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 19. The series, from members of the writing team of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” (Rob Rosell, Scott Marder and David Hornsby), focuses on a pair of teen boys who try to do what’s right without any parental guidance.
Voice actors include Justin Long, Fred Armisen and Romany Malco. Series is from FX Prods., in association with RCG Prods. and Floyd County.
Net is about to wrap the fourth season of motorcycle club drama “Sons of Anarchy,” which will air an additional 14th episode Dec. 6.
