Fox News Channel is set to debut “The Five” in the 5 p.m. slot vacated by Glenn Beck, whose last show was Thursday.
The panel discussion show will feature a roundtable of Fox News personalities including Greg Gutfield, Juan Williams, Andrew Napolitano and Geraldo Rivera.
Interestingly, Fox says in its release only that “The Five” will replace Beck’s program “through the summer,” so the net could have another surprise for viewers in the fall. Rumor has it that Megyn Kelly is the frontrunner to permanently replace Beck, but no decision regarding the slot’s permanent status has been announced.
“The Five” will debut at 5 p.m. on July 11; the net will run reruns of “The Glenn Beck Program” during the intervening week, with a special called “What Makes America Great,” hosted by John Stossel, on today.
