FishBowl Worldwide Media behind Sony, Fox sales

Fox has ordered two comedy scripts from FishBowl Worldwide Media, a shingle that counts “America’s Funniest Home Videos” creator Vin Di Bona and Disney veteran Bruce Gersh among its principals.

FishBowl and Sony Pictures Television are behind “Learn Just Enough to Get Laid,” which is based on a book of the same name that explores love and sex for the modern man. Jim and Steve Armogida, the writers of “Courting Alex” and “Grounded for Life,” will serve as writers and executive producers. Authors of the book are Tyler DeAngelo and Brad Emmett.

FishBowl and 20th Century Fox Television are behind “Beyond Repair,” is a comedy about a family-run business with a very dysfunctional relationship at the center. It is written and co-executive produced by Sameer Asad Gardezi of “Modern Family” and “Mr. Sunshine.”

FishBowl execs Di Bona, Gersh and Susan Levison will serve as executive producers on both projects.

“Our scripted development has just taken off and it’s been gratifying to see our work so well received,” said Levison, executive VP of creative affairs.

The Fox sales aren’t FishBowl’s first of the development season; NBC bought “The Champions,” a comedy set in a competitive ping pong club from SPT.
