Eastburg to Spike originals VP

Network boosts its reality lineup

Spike has named Alex Eastburg as VP of original series, reporting to senior veep of originals Tim Duffy.

Eastburg has worked on Spike shows including “Car Lot Cowboy” and Al Roker Entertainment’s “DEA,” as well as shows on other reality-heavy nets such as TLC’s “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” and TruTV’s “Tiger Team.”

A reality resume is a major asset at Spike these days, as the net has opted to go all-reality, all the time. In August, Spike picked up four new guy-centric reality skeins and renewed “Repo Games,” filling out the Spike slate to include new episodes of its original series every week for a year.
