Actor takes role alongside Owen, Kidman

Robert Duvall has joined Clive Owen and Nicole Kidman in HBO Films’ “Hemingway and Gellhorn,” now filming in San Francisco with Philip Kaufman directing.

Duvall plays a Russian general with co-stars including David Strathairn, Molly Parker, Rodrigo Santoro, Parker Posey, Lars Ulrich, Santiago Cabrera, Saverio Guerra, Peter Coyote, Diane Baker and Tony Shalhoub.

James Gandolfini is among the exec producers of the film, which tells the story of Ernest Hemingway’s volatile relationship with war correspondent Martha Gellhorn.
