Seinfeld-directed 'Long Story Short' to air in April

HBO will turn the Jerry Seinfeld-directed one-man Broadway show starring Colin Quinn into a televised special to air in April.

“Colin Quinn Long Story Short,” which opened at the Helen Hayes Theater in November and has twice had its run extended past its initially scheduled January conclusion, offers a 75-minute satirical history of the world from Antigone to Snooki.

The show is now due to close on Broadway in March.

Quinn, Seinfeld, Brian Stern and Sandy Wernick will exec produce the TV special, with John Moffitt directing.
