Channel 4 goes for ‘Happy Endings’

Laffer to play on youth-friendly web E4

LONDON — Channel 4’s youth-friendly sister web E4 has acquired Disney laffer “Happy Endings.”

Made by ABC Studios, the skein is a relationship-based comedy that asks the question: When a couple splits on their wedding day, who gets to keep the friends?

Deal was concluded by Channel 4’s acquisitions head Gill Hay and Catherine Powell, senior VP/g.m., media distribution, the Walt Disney Company Europe, Middle East and Africa.

On Monday, it was confirmed that E4 had lost signature show “Glee” to pay box BSkyB.
