Multi-year volume deal covers skeins, pix

PARIS — CBS Studios Intl. and Gallic TV group M6, one of France’s top consumers of U.S. skeins, have extended their multiyear volume deal.

Pact covers TV and new-media rights for all of M6 Group’s channels, including commercial web M6, DTT nets Paris Premiere and W9 and its VOD platform. “This longterm partnership has been mutually beneficial to both of our companies. M6 is a great fit for CBS’s programming and a strong broadcaster to bring our series to the French audience,” said Armando Nunez, CBS Studios Intl.’s prexy.

The two companies began their partnership in 2003 when M6 acquired “NCIS,” which scored high ratings. Other hit CBS Studios skeins on M6 includes “Medium,” “Numb3rs,” “NCIS: L.A.,” “Hawaii Five-O” and “The Good Wife.”
