CBS buys script from author A.M. Homes

Project centers on a female military veteran

CBS has bought an untitled script from author A.M. Homes.
From CBS Television Studios, project is a medical-based drama centering on a female military veteran. Homes, who wrote the pilot, will exec produce with Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman.
Homes, who was a writer and producer for Showtime’s “The L Word,” is the author of several novels, short story collections and nonfiction tomes. Her most controversial book was titled “The End of Alice,” about a convicted child molester.
She is also a journalist, her work appears in magazines including the New Yorker and Vanity Fair.
