Trisha Cardoso has been officially tabbed as Showtime’s exec VP of corporate communications.
Based in the pay cabler’s Los Angeles office, Cardoso will oversee Showtime’s programming publicity, media and talent relations, events, corporate branding and public relations.
While managing her own consulting firm for the past eight years, with clients including Chuck Lorre and ICM, Cardoso was previously senior VP of advertising, publicity and promotion for Paramount Television. At the studio, she worked closely with a handful of networks and on a number of series.
“My goal was to find someone creatively inspired and strategically focused, who could also bring a big picture perspective,” said Showtime president David Nevins.
Cardoso replaces longtime Showtime PR topper Richard Licata, who moved to NBC in the summer and was reunited with his former boss, Bob Greenblatt.
