Bunim/Murray pacts with Red Bull Media

Pair promise more reality skeins for young demo

Reality pioneers Bunim/Murray Prods., the company behind “The Real World” and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” has partnered with the Red Bull Media House to co-produce reality TV programming.

Red Bull Media House, the recently launched marketing and content arm of the energy drink brand, creates branded entertainment aimed at a young demo, notably sports programming like “Red Bull X-Fighters,” a motocross competish show, and ESPN’s “Red Bull: New Year. No Limits.”

“We’re going to talk about projects that Bunim/Murray has in development that it makes sense for Red Bull to get involved in,” Bunim/Murray prexy Gil Goldschein told Variety. “Red Bull has an unbelievable amount of talent across all kinds of sporting events, and we think our storytelling expertise can really come into play.” Though he didn’t name any projects or outlets the partnership has lined up, Goldschein touted the elusive younger demo that the Red Bull programming attracts.

Bunim/Murray’s parent company Banijay will handle international sales of formats/finished episodes for all content produced by this partnership through Banijay Intl.
