TBS takes 'Hit,' MTV gets 'Lost'

Matt Jones is giving his hyphenate muscles a workout.

The thesp-writer, known for his work with the Upright Citizens Brigade and for his recurring role in “Breaking Bad,” has recently sold two scripts, one to TBS and one to MTV.

TBS project, dubbed “Greatest Hits,” revolves around a slacker record-store employee who turns into a hitman. At MTV, he’s working on an hourlong summer camp laffer, “Lost in the Woods.” Teri Weinberg of Yellow Brick Road will produce “Woods.”

Onscreen, Jones has a role in Kevin Smith’s buzzy Sundance pic “Red State,” and he’ll be seen alongside Lizzy Caplan and Rob Riggle in upcoming laffer “High Road.” Jones also provides the voice of the lead character on Disney XD’s toon series “Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.” Other recent TV work ranges from the Hallmark Channel telepic “Perfectly Prudence” to multiseg arcs on NBC’s “Community” and CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.”

Jones is repped by Paradigm, manager Brian Ferrantino and the law firm of Felker Toczek.
