Duo replaces Mark D'Arcy

Time Warner has tapped former ABC marketing exec Michael Benson as chief creative officer of its internal marketing group and elevated Kristen O’Hara to chief marketing officer. The two will assume the role formerly filled by Mark D’Arcy, who recently left Time Warner to take a position at Facebook.

Benson and O’Hara will report to Gary Ginsberg, Time Warner’s exec VP for corporate marketing and communications.

Benson is “known for his innovation and creativity in the entertainment industry and his broad experience makes him perfectly suited for our group,” Ginsberg said. “Kristen has an innate ability to synthesize consumer insight and complex business challenges to deliver innovative and effective campaigns to clients. Together, I have no doubt that they will strengthen our mission of enhancing advertiser relationships and bring a new era of success to Time Warner’s Global Media Group.”

Time Warner’s global media group promotes the company’s brands and works with advertisers to build relationships with TW programming and films..

Benson oversaw all marketing for ABC’s primetime and latenight lineups, while O’Hara has served in the global media group since 2004, working with advertisers such as Unilever, L’Oreal and Johnson & Johnson.
