Both spin-offs of “The Bachelor” will return this summer to ABC.
“The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor Pad” have been renewed in time to join the post-May primetime schedule, which the network is expected to announce soon. Specific premiere dates haven’t been determined.
“Pad” made its debut last year while “Bachelorette” will be heading into its seventh cycle.
As for “Bachelor” itself, no official pickup has been announced, but it’s a foregone conclusion that the long-running flagship of the franchise will be back in the fall after a strong cycle in 2010-11. ABC typically doesn’t announce the renewal until casting has been completed.
“Bachelor” is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Entertainment.
