Showtime has tapped Amy Britt as its new head of casting.

Britt, who serves as senior veep of talent and casting, comes to the pay cabler after working on TV and film productions ranging from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Weeds” and “Party Down” to “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story,” “The TV Set” and “The Chumscrubber.”

Britt succeeds Beth Klein, who exited Showtime after 23 years earlier this month.

Britt previously ran her own shingle, CFB Casting, with partner Anya Colloff.
