Amber Heard subscribes to NBC’s ‘Playboy’

Actress in talks for one of the leads in 1960s drama

Exclusive: Amber Heard is in talks for one of the leads of the NBC pilot “Playboy.”

Peacock picked up the pilot in early January. Hourlong drama is set in the 1960s heyday of Playboy clubs that popped up in several cities around the country.

Chad Hodge (“Tru Calling”) penned the script and exec produces with Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. Twentieth Century Fox TV and Imagine TV are producing.

Heard was a recurring on 2007 CW series “Hidden Palms” and appeared in 2009 bigscreen pic “Zombieland.”
