Aguilera, Green, Levine, Shelton commit to second season
Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have been officially locked up for the second season of NBC singing series “The Voice,” which will return to the air in January.
The season finale of the skein’s freshman season, which crowned Javier Colon as its first champion, drew a 3.5 rating and 12 share among adults 18-49 Wednesday and 10.8 million viewers overall, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.
“Our fantastic coaches were integral to the tremendous success of ‘The Voice’ this year, and we are thrilled that they are all returning,” said NBC alternative programming topper Paul Telegdy.
Series creator John de Mol exec produces “The Voice” with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey and Stijn Bakkers for Burnett’s One Three, Talpa Content USA and Warner Horizon Television.
