ABC News taps Faris for pair of shows

Co-anchor named for 'World News Now' and 'America This Morning.'

ABC News has tapped Paula Faris to co-anchor overnight news shows “World News Now” and “America This Morning” with Rob Nelson, with a start date set for Jan. 2.

The anchor will also contribute occasionally to the Alphabet’s “Good Morning America.”

Faris will relocate to New York City from WMAQ in Chicago, where she worked as a sports anchor and reporter for six years. Faris’s previous posts include WCPO in Cincinatti and WKEF/WRGT in Dayton, Ohio.
