Bethesda Softworks hosts event for vidgame
On Friday night, Bethesda Softworks converted Chinatown’s historical central plaza into a post-apocalyptic war zone, complete with debris, smoking Humvees and an open bar.
Though the vidgame publisher held the event to tubthump their latest title “Rage,” most celebs admitted to coming out just to see the Black Keys perform.
“Shameless” thesp Justin Chatwin said he used to play vidgames, but no more. “I have an addictive personality. I know if I played games, that’s all I would do.” Chatwin registered a second complaint with vidgames these days: too many buttons. “There used to be just two!” he added.
The Black Keys drew a crowd including Chris Evans, John Krasinski and Les Moonves.
Topher Grace said he came for a different reason than the game or the Black Keys. He went to see the evening’s host Charlize Theron. “Ever since Charlize and I broke up, we’ve remained really good friends,” Grace joked. “I’m just here to support her on her big night.”
When asked about The Black Keys, who were playing at the time, Grace responded, “Who?”
