Production veep leaves Fox

Four production execs remain

Twentieth Century Fox VP of production Steven Puri will not return to the studio after his contract expires in March.

Puri is the third high-level exit from the production division over the past year. Among production VPs, John Fox left to run John Davis’ Fox-based shingle in April, and Drew Crevello took a sabbatical this summer. The studio does not yet have a return date for him.

Puri joined Fox last year after serving as exec VP for Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci’s shingle. During his time with the studio, he oversaw projects including the next film in the studio’s “Die Hard” franchise, “A Good Day to Die Hard.” Exec VP of production Peter Kang will handle that film.

Kang is among four remaining production execs, working alongside Lauren Levy, Steve Asbell and Jeremy Kramer under production prexy Emma Watts.
