MTV Networks’ Logo has appointed Brent Zacky senior veep of original programming and development and Michelle Auguste senior director of programming research. Zacky was previously VP of development and programming at TLC. Auguste comes to Logo from Lifetime.
Jose Cancela has been named prexy and g.m. of Telemundo O&O KVEA-TV Los Angeles. Cancela joins KVEA from Hispanic USA Inc., a Miami-based Hispanic market resource firm that he founded in 2004.
Mark Dante has been upped to exec veepee of station group sales for Univision Television Group. Dante, who will be based in New York, was previously senior veep of Univision’s L.A.-based client development group.
The Directors Guild of America has upped associate general counsel David Dreyfus to general counsel, while assistant general counsel Tiffanie Baker has advanced to associate general counsel. Dreyfus has been with the DGA since 2007. Baker joined the guild in 2009.
Science has tapped Brad Kohlenstein as senior director of development. He moves to the Discovery Communications cabler from its sibling net TLC, where he was director of development.
Cinematographer Johnny Jensen will join the faculty of Chapman U.’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in the fall.
