Thanks to USA’s seven original shows — “Suits,” “Necessary Roughness,” “In Plain Sight,” “White Collar,” “Covert Affairs,” “Royal photos/_specials_arts/assist10_info_valde.jpg” vspace=”3″ hspace=”3″ align=”left”>Pains” and “Burn Notice” — as well as many more in development, Valdecantos has been in high gear ever since joining the company two years ago. “Bill (McGoldrick, senior VP of original scripted programming) took me under his wing, I do a lot of scheduling and coordinating, and I like to collaborate and be proactive about shows, as programming is definitely a team effort,” says the L.A. native and UCLA grad who previously worked at CAA. “That experience was like boot camp — ideal for anyone wanting to get into this industry.” Ironically, the movie- and TV-loving Valdecantos never grew up with a burning desire to be in showbiz. “It only hit me after college and I did some internships, and that hooked me,” he recalls.
