Kathleen Carr dies at 55

Was commercial casting associate at TLC Booth

Commercial casting associate Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Carr died Jan. 18 of complications from cancer in Torrance, Calif. She was 55.

Carr started out as an actress and singer and was a member of SAG but was a commercial casting associate for the last 15 years. She worked mainly with casting directors Loree Booth and Leland Williams at TLC Booth, which cast all of director Joe Pytka’s commercials.

Carr was involved in musical theater as a child and majored in theater at Southern Illinois U. at Edwardsville.

She is survived by her mother, two brothers and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb. 6, at Ocean Park Studio, 2701 Ocean Park Blvd., Santa Monica at 11:30 a.m. For information contact DeeDee Michaels at 310-226-7024.
