Crix picks get their licks

Critics' Choice Television Awards took place Monday

Cat Deeley said that hosting the Critics’ Choice Television Awards on Monday was almost like being propositioned by the Governator.

“You can’t help but wonder how many people were asked before you,” she quipped.

After a clip of “The Walking Dead,” which involved a gunshot and gruesome blood spatter, presenter Wilmer Valderrama asked the crowd at the Beverly Hills Hotel, “How’s everyone’s salad?”

When Alan Cumming accepted a lead actress award on behalf of Julianna Margulies, he said, “I’m not Julianna Margulies, although I appear to be wearing her wig. We have a timeshare scheme with it.”

And Danny DeVito thanked the crix for his Icon Award, saying, “People might think that TV critics are mindless parasites, but this proves you’re not.” –
