Comedy Central’s party at Colony was full of old friends in T-shirts and not very many ladies in evening gowns.
“This is a party full of comedy nerds,” explained “The Daily Show’s” Wyatt Cenac, Emmy in hand. “It’s not the sexiest party.” Cenac also spoke on the friendly rivalry between the network’s two oft-Emmy-nommed shows: “Last year ‘The Colbert Report’ won, this year we won. Basically all that means is Comedy Central should give us all raises.” The network’s recent roastee, Charlie Sheen, was a topic of conversation. “I was desperate for him to say something racist,” said John Oliver. “I expected some kind of punch line.
