Exec to oversee international scripted production
Cineflix Productions has tapped former BBC Worldwide exec Vlad Wolynetz for the post of prexy of production at its scripted arm Cineflix Studios, based in Manhattan. He will report to Cineflix CEO Glen Salzman.
In the role, Wolynetz will oversee scripted series production for the international market.
”He’s a consummate pro with multiple award-winning series to his credit,” said Salzman in a statement. ”Vlad’s expertise will be invaluable on shows like ‘The Command’ and many more as we continue to ramp up our slate.”
Other ports of call for Wolynetz include AMC, where he served as v.p. of production for that net’s series and pics; he also worked on BBC hit Torchwood, which will see American incarnation premiere on July 8 on Starz.
Wolynetz’s hire is the latest in an expanding roster at the company; the company recently brought on Camilla Lewis at its UK office, where she holds the title of managing director. Cineflix is currently developing scripted skein ”The Command” for TNT.
