The CW brought out all of its young and nubile firepower for Saturday’s season launch party, sponsored by Microsoft’s Bing and held on a street set on the Warner Bros. lot.
The network flew in dozens of actors from its shows, most of which shoot far away from L.A. Nobody was more mauled by partygoers than “The Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder, who was trapped on the red carpet doing endless photos and interviews long after other thesps were let loose. The copious food and drink offerings reflected the themes of some of CW’s new shows, with chicken and waffles and other Southern fried fare well represented in honor of dramedy “Hart of Dixie” starring Rachel Bilson. CW’s new prexy Mark Pedowitz kept busy shaking hands and receiving well-wishes for his first season with the net. Warner Bros. TV Group topper Bruce Rosenblum and Warner Bros. TV prexy Peter Roth also made the rounds.A young guns salute
