Nomination reaction: Geoffrey Rush

Best supporting actor, "The King's Speech"

Geoffrey Rush says he was floored by very first audience’s reaction to “The King’s Speech” — even more so when it kept happening.

“We were gobsmacked. They gasped and they wept and that continued on into Toronto and then we went on into the festival circuit … it’s a bit hard to deconstruct what the individual ingredients are that give people such a good time with the film, but it’s rewarding.”
