Nomination reaction: David Hoberman

Producer, best picture, 'The Fighter'

Even with seven Oscar nominations for “The Fighter,” producer David Hoberman still sees the film as an underdog.

“This love story between Mickey and Dicky … (they) overcame insurmountable odds. I think there’s probably just something universal in our country that it sort of appeals to. I’m blown away this morning by the sheer number of nominations. This movie has been one of the most underdog stories from the get-go.”
