Brian Lambert has been promoted to exec VP-head of film and television music for Universal Music Publishing Group, the company announced Thursday.
A 20-year music publishing vet, Lambert will work out of the company’s Santa Monica headquarters and report to Evan Lamberg, UMPG’s North American president.
“Brian Lambert is one of the most prominent creative executives, and leaders, within the film and TV industry and continues to drive success for Universal Music Publishing,” Lamberg said in a statement.
Lambert will oversee synchronization and catalog placement in film, TV and advertising. Prior to joining Universal, Lambert served as VP of advertising, film and TV music for Zomba Music Publishing, Jive Records and and BMG Music.
