'Attack,' 'Hope,' 'Loves' earn top honors at fest

The South By Southwest film festival wrapped Saturday and announced aud prize winners for three programs.

Joe Cornish’s raucous alien-invasion thriller “Attack The Block” was tops with viewers of the Midnight program, Turk Pipkin’s “Building Hope” was the people’s choice in the Lone Star States strand and Douglas Arrowsmith’s “Love Shines” was loved in the fest’s popular 24 Beats Per Second.

Most of the SXSW awards were handed out last Tuesday, including Best Narrative Feature to Robbie Pickering’s “Natural Selection,” which also won the narrative feature aud prize, and Best Documentary Feature to Tristan Patterson’s “Dragonslayer.”
