Saul Richfield dies at 84

Was manager, PR man for Darin, Francis

Saul Richfield, a manager and public relations man for Bobby Darin, Connie Francis, the Four Keys and the Barry Sisters, died of a heart attack on Nov. 15. He was 84.

Born in New York City, he began in the entertainment industry as an usher at a movie theater in Brooklyn. He was Darin’s manager for nine years in the 1950s and Francis’ publicity man in the early 1960s. He also did PR work for Frankie Valli, the DeMarco Sisters, Joe Franklin and Jack LaLanne and for Madonna early in her career.

There were no survivors.
