Former Siegfried & Roy publicist Frank Lieberman died Saturday, Jan. 22 in Las Vegas. He was 68.
Lieberman was an entertainment reporter for the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner, where he notably wrote a 1970 feature story on Elvis Presley resulting from a rare one-on-one interview with Presley. Before his work at the Herald-Examiner, he was a sports reporter.
Lieberman worked as a publicist for Sammy Davis Jr. in the early 1970s and for Siegfried & Roy from 1996-2003, leaving just weeks before Roy Horn’s tiger attack. He also represented celebrities including Tony Danza, Tony Orlando and Engelbert Humperdinck.
Lieberman is survived by his wife, Karen, and his son, Adam.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m. at Eden Cemetery in Mission Hills, Calif.
