Korean talent shops get together

United Asia Management brings six agencies under one roof

Headed by Korean Wave star Bae Yong-joon’s Keyeast, South Korea’s six most influential talent agencies are bowing a joint management company, United Asia Management, to tap into the international market.

The other agencies are AM Entertainment, SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and IJ Entertainment, whose prexy Jung Young-bum will be CEO of UAM.

UAM will unite Korean A-list actors, including Jang Dong-gun (“The Warrior’s Way”), with top pop groups. UAM will co-manage stars’ intellectual property rights and develop an online database for the international market.

It also will use its biz know-how and connections to co-produce projects starring its clients.
