Clarence Clemons suffers stroke

Artist worked with Bruce Springsteen band

Sources close to the Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band have confirmed that saxophonist Clarence Clemons has suffered a stroke at his Florida home.

His condition is not immediately known.

Clemons, 69, has been an imposing figure in Springsteen’s band — both literally and figuratively. Known as ”The Big Man” in Springsteen circles, Clemons has been recording with Springsteen since the early 1970s.
